He says, he “was approached out of the blue by a complete stranger who threw accelerant over him” leading to second-degree chest and stomach burns.

She says, through her solicitor “He fondled my client’s breasts and buttocks and she poured her drink over him and left. Shortly afterward she heard cries and saw her friends trying to extinguish him.” Therefore probably setting himself alight with a cigarette.

“Police on the Greek island say the tourist was drunk and had waved his genitals at several girls before allegedly groping the suspect.”

A blogger says “Their are only two reasons folk go there [Crete], to consume copious amounts of alcohol and indulge in (well they hope anyway) non stop shagging.”

Maria Fanoudaki, a Greek student, will be in court on Monday on a charge of assualting Stuart Feltham from the UK which carries a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.

The case has been widely discussed on Greek television, and there has been precious little sympathy for the young Briton”

He [the reporter] added that many Greeks are sickened by British bad behaviour in Malia and other resorts”

It will be interesting to see how this pans out, I wonder if anybody was sober enough to actually remember what did happen.

It also interests me that Feltham’s parents are so insistent that he wouldn’t have sexually assaulted Fanoudaki, and that at least one blogger has tagged this story as domestic violence, for example here. It isn’t domestic violence, it is assualt with self-defence if it can be proved at all.

Sure isn’t Mamma Mia!

having spent many a drunk night in the clubs of the Greek Islands in the past, I cannot for the life of me consider the Felthams version of the events as anything more than a desperate cover story for their sons infantile and i suspect embarrassing behaviour where his parents are concerned.

Regardless of whether his parents are embarrassed or not by his behaviour, I think there are plenty more parents would be mortified by their offspring’s behaviour in resorts such as Malia.
