Evidence of Binyam Mohamed’s torture being supressed, quelle suprise!!

July 29, 2009

Binyam Mohamed was kept prisoner and tortured for 6 years by British and American forces in Pakistan, Morocco and Afghanistan, before ending up at Guantanamo Bay. There was no reason for this imprisonment, and there is never any reason for torture.

Binyam Mohamed is now being gagged again:

British lives could be endangered if allegations of torture of a former Guantanamo Bay inmate are published, the High Court has been told.

A lawyer for the foreign secretary said an official summary of Binyam Mohamed’s allegations must remain secret.

The US would respond to publication by withholding intelligence, which could endanger British lives, she said.

Mr Mohamed’s lawyers want the High Court to disclose a seven-paragraph briefing on his alleged mistreatment.

BOLLOCKS is this gag to preserve life!!!!!

Binyam spoke of some of the conditions of his impisonment in March.

See for “the case of Mohammed Jawad. Jawad is a Pakistani who has been held at Guantanamo since 2004. He was arrested in Afghanistan in late 2003, accused of throwing a hand grenade that injured 2 American soldiers.”
